Taiwanese manufacturer HTC has unveiled the all-new entry-level HTC Desire C - the latest member of its popular Desire family of smartphones.

Available in both white and black from next month, the HTC Desire C packs Sense 4.0 (HTC's proprietary UI), Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and Beats Audio, meaning you can listen to your music exactly how "the artist intended" you to.

"Listening to music is one of the most popular things people use their phones for, so it's more important than ever that we deliver the power and emotion artists capture in the studio," Jason Mackenzie, HTC's president of global sales and marketing, said.

Drop it like it's hot

In case you're not really interested in its ability to pump out tunes, HTC's new smartphone features a 3.5-inch HVGA display and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. You can use the device's "instant sharing" capabilities to post any snaps you take to your favourite social networks.

Furthermore, the HTC Desire C's Dropbox integration means you get 25GB of free online storage that can be used to house and distribute thousands or photos, videos, and documents. An NFC-enabled variant of this smartphone will also be available.

You'll be able to pick up an HTC Desire C next month from Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin Media, Three, O2, Phones 4u, The Carphone Warehouse, and Tesco Mobile.
