Qualcomm announces Snapdragon Gaming World Record Challenge

Chipset manufacturer Qualcomm has announced that it's working with the Guinness Book of Records on the upcoming Snapdragon Gaming World Record Challenge.

Those who take part in the event - which will run from June 5th-6th during this year's E3 conference - will attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the longest video games marathon played on a tablet device.

Participants will be playing games from the likes of Gameloft, Halfbrick, Sega, and Glu on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 for 26 hours.

If you fancy entering and being in with the chance of grabbing up to $50,000 in cash, Qualcomm will be hosting a special qualifying round on Tuesday May 22nd at the Lexington Social House in Hollywood.

The top 50 gamers from the qualifying round will get to take part in the record attempt at E3.
