Hello Tinkerbell. AR app Faerie Planet flutters down for iOS
Follow the trail of pixie dust
Hard to believe now, but in Victorian England there were heated arguments about the existence of fairies.
Even someone as prominent as Sherlock Holmes' author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was taken in by fakes like the Cottingley Fairies.
But fairies still have a hold over the imagination, and that's why developer Th3ng has come up with its augmented reality app Faerie Planet.
Don't sneezeDesigned for kids from the ages of four and upwards (apparently), you use your iOS device's camera to capture different types of fairies (or faeries).
The more you get, the more in-game currency you gain. It's used to buy Mysties which mist up the screen so you can communicate with the fairies by writing and drawing on the screen.
You can see how the app works in the following video.
