Square Enix hints at possible sequel to DS RPG The World Ends With You

It looks like Square Enix is considering a sequel to the Gold Award-winning Nintendo DS RPG The World Ends With You.

In an interview with Nintendo Dream, The World Ends With You contributor Tetsuya Nomura reveals that the studio has held a voice casting for the Raimu (nicknamed 'Rhyme') character's appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3D.

Although Raimu's vocal contributions in The World Ends With You were limited to reaction noises, the team decided to search for a voice actor "out of consideration of the future of The World Ends With You series".

When pressed about the future of the shopping-centric role-playing game, Nomura said: "Regarding The World Ends With You, I can't say anything at present... (laughs). But there probably is something."

James pivoted to video so hard that he permanently damaged his spine, which now doubles as a Cronenbergian mic stand. If the pictures are moving, he's the one to blame.
