We've heard numerous rumblings and caught sight of a few Apple patents related to 3D technology over the past few years, but we're yet to see the Cupertino-based company actually include 3D tech in any of its products.

Still, a recent job posting by The Big A hints at the possibility of 3D technology being implemented in future iOS devices.

The job advert, which is for a "Computer Vision specialist to strengthen its multi-view stereo research group", asks for candidates familiar with "multi-view stereo and 3D reconstruction", as well as "cameras and surfaces in a 3D environment".

We don't have a clue what Apple has up its sleeve, but it's interesting to see the company continue to investigate 3D tech and its possible applications.

If the heavily rumoured iTV does turn out to be real, it's plausible that the job posting relates to that product.
