Card-battler Big Win Hockey skates onto iPhone and iPad

The latest iOS release from Kard Combat developer Hothead Games has (slap) shot onto the App Store.

Big Win Hockey is a free-to-play card collecting game with an ice hockey theme. You grab a selection of player cards, build your deck / team, then watch as they destroy sides from around the world.

As you win matches, you'll earn more card packs and better players. Or if you're feeling particularly impatient, you can pay real money to buy packs and boost your team more quickly.

There are also special power cards available in Big Win Hockey. These help to turn the tide of battle, and range from the Sharpshooter card to the Injury Free bonus. You can, therefore, alter everything about your squad members, including boosting your players' statistics and giving them additional skills.

To top it off, there's a Daily Trophy that goes to the best player on each day, so there's always something in the short term to aim for.

The game is free to grab on iPhone and iPad, and includes Game Center leaderboards and social media integration.
