Niffler turns to Kickstarter for Chuck's Challenge 3D

iOS and Android versions expected if initial fundraising successful

Niffler turns to Kickstarter for Chuck's Challenge 3D

Niffler has turned to Kickstarter in order to fund a sequel to its retro-tinged 2D puzzler Chuck's Challenge.

This time around, the action will be rendered in 3D, with the Unity engine powering the graphical delights.

The title is initially planned for PC and Mac, but Barn Cleave, executive director at Niffler, has told me that the company will be able to port the title to both iOS and Android a little further down the line.

Re-challenge

As in the original game, user-generated content is the focus for Chuck's Challenge 3D. To that end, a full-fledged level creator will be bundled in with the game on release.

Should Niffler exceed its funding goal of $12,500, the studio plans on incorporating a host of new elements into the game, such as laser, mirrors, and what the company is calling an "intelligent search", which learns the type of levels you like to play.
