Social gaming mega-company DeNA continues its dominance of Japan's mobile gaming scene this month, as it revealed today that it is working alongside Disney to co-develop a number of games for Android devices based on Disney characters and films.

The duo has already released Disney Party - a free-to-play party simulation where players can organise get-togethers for Disney characters and share their shindigs with other Mobage players - in Japan via Mobage this week.

Next week, the duo will release Disney Fantasy Quest in Japan, an online card collecting game in which players, well, collect cards. That's also a free-to-play title.

Finally, coming this summer, DeNA and Disney will release a Marvel Comics-themed game. That one will be a card battler, with players laying into each other with all sorts of Marvel characters splashed on virtual cards. Again, a free-to-play game.

Crossing borders

That's all headed to Japan, but fear not! All three games are also due to be released later this year worldwide, including in our humble UK.

Isao Moriyasu, president at DeNA, said of this new agreement: "Disney's characters and stories have cross-border and cross-generational appeal. DeNA has enormous reach around the world with its proven cross-device platform for mobile social games."

"Together, we can delight millions of players with games featuring Disney's and Marvel's beloved characters."
