Sonic The Hedgehog: Triple Trouble and Shinobi landing on European eShop this Thursday

Dragon Crystal also getting in on the Game Gear action

Sonic The Hedgehog: Triple Trouble and Shinobi landing on European eShop this Thursday

Three classics from the Game Gear will be arriving on the eShop this Thursday, starting with that evergreen (actually blue) hedgehog, Sonic.

Sonic The Hedgehog: Triple Trouble (£4.50 / €5) sees Sonic battle the evil Dr. Robotnik/Eggman over some Chaos Emeralds. The twist this time around is that both Knuckles the whatcha-ma-call-it and Nack the Weasel are both after those tasty emeralds as well.

According to our resident Sonic fans, this one’s meant to be pretty good.

Bombs and crystals

Also out this week is the classic shuriken-throwing 2D action title Shinobi (£3.60 / €4), which sees you beating up a load of generic goons in a quest to rescue your fellow ninja students from Neo City.

My guess is that it’s going to be jolly hard, but that’s okay - you’re a ninja with bombs, for goodness sake.

Finally out this week from the Game Gear is Dragon Crystal (£2.70 / €3), an RPG that involves navigating a ‘misty maze crawling with terrifying creatures’. Sounds spooky, looks really dated.

All three titles, plus the bargain-tastic Hints Hunter (£1.80 / €2) will be available on the 3DS eShop from Thursday.
