Rumour: Apple's iPhone 5 will launch around Q2 2012 with a 4.6-inch Retina display
|

Rumours surrounding the iPhone 4S and "the new iPad" have ended now that both devices are lining store shelves. This can mean only one thing: weeks and months of iPhone 5 rumours.

According to an "unnamed industry source", Apple has decided to increase the size of the display on its forthcoming iPhone, and has already begun to order supplies.

Instead of a 3.5-inch screen, the iPhone 5 will purportedly pack a larger 4.6-inch Retina display.

Naturally, Apple's major display suppliers LG and Samsung have declined to comment on the rumour from the Maeil Business Newspaper. No surprise there, then.

Released

The same source alleges that the new smartphone will arrive around the second quarter of this year. That's from April to June.

We're sure you'll read about this lovely piece of gossip - and plenty of other rumours - repeatedly over the next few months. We just thought we'd warn you.
