Quick on the heels of Lionel Messi becoming the highest-scoring footballer in Barcelona FC's history comes the star striker's first official iOS tie-in: Training with Messi.

The game, produced by Rock and Roll Game Studio and Fundacion Leo Messi, is described in the press release as being "an intense, arcade soccer experience" in which you "embody the greatest soccer player of our time".

Which, if you couldn't guess, is Lionel Messi.

Bizarrely, the game promises five "worlds" to play in, which I hope means we can recreate the 2006 Barcelona vs Arsenal Champions League final on Mars, or play the Catalan derby inside Jabu Jabu's stomach.

In Training with Messi, you can also create a "unique account" for posting high scores. As opposed to stealing your friend's account, or Lionel Messi's.

You can also buy your favourite footballer's shirt (which, if you couldn't guess, is the one that Lionel Messi wears), as well as "learn new dribbling techniques" from the man himself: Lionel Messi. For he is that man, and his name is so.

Training with Messi will be out on iOS on April 11th.
