Gameloft's Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, Modern Combat 3, and more optimised for the new iPad's Retina display

If you've recently spent hours queuing outside an Apple Store to get your greasy mitts on the new iPad, you'll be looking for some titles that take full advantage of its Retina display.

Luckily for you, then, French publisher Gameloft has optimised four of its most popular titles for the new iPad's high-resolution display and A5X processor: Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation [buy], Asphalt 6: Adrenaline [buy], Gangstar Rio: City of Saints [buy], and Order & Chaos Online [buy].

The final member of that foursome has also been updated with an all-new dungeon called Sailen: The Lower. Naturally, as you explore it, you'll uncover a whole host of new items and equipment for your character. There are also new quests to complete.

Speech!

"Gameloft is excited to support the new iPad. With its A5X processor, we can continue to showcase our unique development approach and creativity," Gonzague De Vallois, Gameloft's VP of worldwide publishing, said.

"Gameloft has always been one of the first developers to release games that are ideally optimized for each new iOS platform as soon as they are available and offers more than 100 games on the App Store."

Pocket Gamer has been keeping track of all the iPad games that are optimised for the new iPad's Retina display, so be sure to check them out.
