Cinematic classic Another World zaps onto Android

DotEmu's remake of the classic PC and Amiga cinematic adventure game Another World has finally arrived on Google Play, having spent the last few months hanging out with the iOS crowd.

Another World - 20th Anniversary Edition places you in the body of Lester Knight Chaykin, who one night is zapped into a mysterious and dangerous alien dimension.

My review of the game on iOS last September caused a bit of a stir with readers, since it's fondly remembered as being a groundbreaking title in video game history.

If the Android edition is the same as the iOS version, fans should expect a very well-made and tasteful remake, with extra difficulty levels and elegant switching between the original and revamped graphics.

Newcomers are warned, however, that it is an extremely unfair game that revels in killing you without warning. You might be best packing a walkthrough before you set foot on its barren world.

Another World 20th Anniversary Edition is out now on Google Play for £3.31 [buy].
