Sega has confirmed to Droid Gamers that Virtua Tennis Challenge will be heading to the Xperia Play on March 19th.

This period of exclusivity will last for roughly two weeks, before the game launches for other Android devices around the start of April.

Unveiled at CES back in January, Virtua Tennis Challenge is a smartphone entry in Sega's long-running arcade series, and it promises a selection of 25 players to exercise across the game's multiple modes.

Multiplayer and Exhibition Match modes may be self-explanatory, while World Tour mode sees you rising up the tournament tennis ladder.

Droid Gamers reports that the game will also feature daily tournaments to tackle, and optional microtransactions for in-game currency.

There's no word on pricing yet, but Virtua Tennis Challenge will hit the Xperia Play on March 19, before bouncing onto other Android devices roughly two weeks later.
