How to make an Escape Plan: Tips and tricks to getting every trophy in this PS Vita puzzler
|
| Escape Plan

Escape Plan for PS Vita is one of the highlights of the PSN Store, with a story that follows Lil and Laarg as they attempt to escape a mysterious prison.

As with all Vita games, Escape Plan contains a whole horde of trophies that are ripe for the taking. You may well be having problems grabbing them all, however, which is where we come in.

In the paragraphs below, there are tips and tricks for getting every trophy: whether it be bronze, silver, or shiny gold. Some are harder to obtain than others, of course, and in those instances we've tried to provide even more firepower for you.

So, go ahead: grab those last few trophies and feel happy.

Gold PS Vita Trophy A Clean Escape
In Challenge mode, complete the entire game with fewer than 20 deaths (combined for Lil and Laarg)

This trophy is, quite frankly, next to impossible to collect, and anyone who manages to pull it off has a serious amount of patience and timing. As the description suggests, you need to enter Challenge mode (top-right monitor on the main menu), and then beat the game without dying more than 19 times.

You can keep track of how many deaths have occurred by adding together the numbers on both Lil's and Laarg's bellies. The best thing to do is play through the game so you know the solutions to each level, then go back through slowly completing each one at a snail's pace.

As you enter each new level, make sure you know exactly how to beat it before you start gesturing. Also, make sure you don't accidentally touch the back panel and push something you shouldn't be pushing at any point - that can be a real killer.

Silver PS Vita Trophy A Cautionary Tale
Collect all the warning signs

This trophy involves your collecting every hidden warning symbol in the game, by simply finding them and touching them. Some are more hidden than others, so you really need to keep your eyes peeled. Or you could just check the following list for the ones you are missing, as noted by PS3Trophies.

Prison Section 1

Tap That
In the left-upper corner of the level, you will see some cages that pass by on the conveyor belt. It's on the third cage that passes by.

Mind the Gap
It's in the upper centre of the level and just above the gears. It looks like an arrow pointing upwards.

Fly By
When you run, the fly swatter will come down - the sign is on the back of it.

Kiln Me Softly
It's behind the cage of Laarg. You can tap on it once you have pushed Laarg on the conveyor belt.

Brickin' It
It's behind the wall on the left side of the conveyor belt. If you move your camera to the right, you will be able to see it just above the conveyor belt.

Prison Section 2

The Grey Mile
It's in the centre of the level behind the door that you have to knock down to get over the electricity.

Break on Through
In the middle of the lower part of the level, you can push a box to the front using the back screen. It's behind that box.

Make Your Bed
It's behind the bed you drop down to make a soft landing.

Factory Section 1

Suck on this
It's in the top-right corner of the level.

Weight to Die
On the fourth barrel that passes by above your head when you stand on the floor button.

Tilt Me Baby
On the highest level to the left, right next to the wrench.

Smoking Kills
Right under Laarg to the left of the first barrel.

Factory Section 2

Fall Guys
After you break through the wall, you have to push barrels to the front. The third barrel seems missing, but when you push it to the front, the sign will show up.

Gag Pipes
It's behind the fan at the top of the screen. Turn the fan until all the gas is gone, then tap the sign.

Easy Does It
It's in the room to the right on the ground floor. In the upper-left corner.

Falling for You
One level down from where you start, behind the big sack that you can drop by tapping the back screen.

Final Elevation
When you elevate the elevator as high as you can, you will see the sign on the lower part of the beam that pushes the elevator up.

Pop Top
On the left side of the level under the middle barrel.

Dump Section 1

Body Bag
In the lower-right corner just above the conveyor belt.

Him See Hammer
It's behind the big hammer - you can see it when the hammer drops.

Bubble Butt
It's in the lower middle of the level right next to the thing that generates the bubbles.

Bubble and Squeak
It's on a gear that's hanging against the ceiling. It's the gear furthest to the right, but wait while it's turning until the sign appears.

La Vie En Rose
It's under the left side of the lower part of the spikes.

One For My Homies
It's in the upper-right corner of the level.

Dump Section 2

Fatally Fantastic
When you elevate the elevator as high as possible, you can see it on the beam that pushes up the elevator.

Workshop Section 1

Hot Coffee
It's in the upper-right corner of the level.

Deep Fried
It's on the rocket that passes by in the background.

Beware the Claw!
It's on the claw in the upper-left corner.

Made from Girders
It's hidden in the lower centre of the level behind the pole of the platform. Just move the camera to the left or right of the pole and you will be able to tap on the sign.

Workshop Section 2 Rocket Man
While you are going up, you will see it appear behind a black screen that falls down a little bit. Initially, it's behind the black screen and in the centre on the way up.
Silver PS Vita Trophy Starry Night
Earn three stars in every level

To get three stars on a level, you need to complete the level quickly and make as few gestures as possible. First, work out how to complete a level in the most efficient way - the majority of the time, there is only one way to complete a level, so this isn't too difficult to work out.

Once you've got that down, then look through the level and work out how to do that in the fewest number of possible touches. Finally, fire through the level as fast as possible with that many gestures. If you're quick enough, you should earn the three stars for that level.

Silver PS Vita Trophy Death Comes For Ye
Die in every level in Escape Plan

Exactly what it says on the tin: die in every level. This takes around half an hour to do if you simply start from the first level, walk into something that will kill you, and then skip to the next level and repeat.

Note that to kill yourself on the very first level, you need to stand Lil under the exit door, then tap the neon sign above the door several times. It will fall down and crush Lil.

Bronze PS Vita Trophy A Lil Problem
Kill Lil in five different ways

This should happen simply during a single playthrough, although if it doesn't, it should happen when going after the "Death Comes For Ye" trophy!

Bronze PS Vita Trophy A Laarg Problem
Kill Laarg in five different ways

See above.

Bronze PS Vita Trophy Test Subjects
Use sheep as test subjects in six levels

Whenever you're on a level that has sheep, make sure you tap the back panel and cause it to run to its death somehow. There are a dozen levels that have sheep on them, so sending just six sheep to their death isn't too difficult.

Bronze PS Vita Trophy Trippin
Trip up Lil in five rooms

This is an odd one, for it isn't explained very well - you can't simply trip Lil up by swiping on her. Instead, you need to trip her up on the scenery.
There are multiple levels on which you can trip Lil up with signs, hammers, bricks, and the like, but in case you're having trouble finding specific levels, here are five that are proven to work:

Exit Stage Left: Make Lil trip over the sign (tap it several times to make it fall down).

The Little Things: Trip over the brick. Tap That: Trip over the brick. Mind the gap: Knock the broom down with the back panel, then make Lil trip over it. Rocket Man: Trip over the brick.
Bronze PS Vita Trophy Splatter Fest
Kill minions in 12 different rooms

Minions are those enemies who will shoot at Lil and Laarg when they are too close. To get this achievement, you simply need to kill them in 12 different levels.

This should really happen during a single playthrough, as you're required to kill minions in most cases to bypass them. Killing minions is easy enough: when you encounter one, make them move into a fatal position by tapping the back panel, then throw the switch / move the platform / throw them to their death.

Bronze PS Vita Trophy Prison Escape
Escape the Prison

Earned during a full playthrough.

Bronze PS Vita Trophy Quittin' Time
Escape the Factory

Earned during a full playthrough.

Bronze PS Vita Trophy Out of the Dumps
Escape the Dumps

Earned during a full playthrough.

Bronze PS Vita Trophy Rock It!
Escape the Workshop

Earned during a full playthrough.
