Team Meat's Tommy Refenes hints at Super Meat Boy for Android in the works

In a recent interview with IndieGames.com, Team Meat co-CEO Edmund McMillen stated that his company's next title will "probably" be an iPhone game.

That 'next title' is likely to be, of course, Super Meat Boy, the tough-as-nails XBLA platformer starring the eponymous red cube-shaped character.

Responding to fan questions via Formspring on whether Team Meat has any plans for an Android version of its hit game, Refenes said: "Yes. If it comes out, it'll come out for everything at the same time. I like Android more than I like iOS."

Refenes's preference for Google's mobile platform over iOS is no real secret, given some of the shy and retiring game designer's earlier comments on Apple's App Store:

"I have no intentions on doing anything for iPhone or iPad ever... I hate the platforms and I hate the stores," Refenes stated back in March 2010.
