A three-man indie development team is kicking up a storm with a few teased images of its first title The Other Brothers. Images that have left our resident pixel-art historian (and lover) Mark Brown weak at the knees.

Details about the gameplay of The Other Brothers are slightly less well drawn out at the moment, with the developer saying that it will feature "running, jumping, collecting, racing against the clock".

It also seems to star two plumbers and a damsel in distress, although you'd have to be particularly harsh to say it was going for a Mario look from the screenshots.

The Other Brothers will be heading to iOS first, with the developer planning on porting the game across to Android in the future. We'll be keeping an eye on this one.
