The guys over at Hogrocket have just released a double dose of Tiny Invaders-related news for iPhone and iPad users to absorb.

Firstly, the latest update has expanded the game's infectious possibilities by introducing an all-new character for the intergalactic germs to infect via a brand-new level pack.

Secondly, for those who like to try before they buy, there is now a freemium version of the game on the App Store called Tiny Invaders Free [download].

You can play through the first 15 levels for nothing, but you'll have to cough up some coin if you want to carry on contaminating till the end.

There is still no word on when the Android edition of Tiny Invaders will surface, but iPhone and iPad users can grab the full version of Tiny Invaders from the App Store for 69p / 99c [download], and the free version for, well, free.
