Chillingo and Grip Games have raided the archetypes cupboard, taken a sneaky peek at Monster Dash, and released the formerly PSN-only endless-runner / action title One Epic Game onto the New Zealand App Store.

In One Epic Game, you step into the shoes of typical macho action hero "Alpha Dog" as he hurtles across a series of themed levels, leaping over obstacles, avoiding collapsing platforms, and shooting.

Always shooting.

Jump 'n' gun

There are five different worlds to sprint through, spread out across three different modes: Campaign, Free Run, and Challenge.

The worlds themselves take the form of gaming's favourite (read: most over-used) locations, so there's World War II, a scary undead village filled with zombies, and a sci-fi city invaded by gloopy aliens.

One Epic Game is currently shooting up the New Zealand App Store, so that means it'll be blasting its way onto US and UK shores from midnight tonight, priced at 69p / 99c.
