Last week, developer Hutch released World's Wildest Police Videos-inspired title Smash Cops, but quickly removed it from the App Store due to "an unforeseen administrative problem".

If you weren't one of the 5,000 lucky gamers who managed to grab the smash-'em-up during its brief stay on Apple's digital store, you'll be pleased to read that it's now - once again - available to download for your iPhone and iPad.

Smash Cops lets you jump behind the wheel of various police cars, turn on the blues and twos, weave in and out of civilian traffic, and ram unscrupulous felons off the road. Satisfying.

If that doesn't quench your thirst for wrecking stuff, there are also four different mini-games to play, which see you dodging traffic, collecting evidence, and causing mindless destruction.

If you own one of Apple's shiny iPhone 4S or iPad 2 devices, you'll benefit from enhanced graphics and effects, as well as support for Apple's AirPlay functionality.

That final feature enables you to play Smash Cops on a big-screen television via your Apple TV.

Smash Cops is available right now on the App Store as a Universal app for £1.99 / $2.99.
