Gameloft's Auckland studio in the clear after allegations of unfair working conditions
Not guilty, Your Honour
If you cast your mind back to last year, you might remember Australian programmer Glenn Watson, who quit his job at Gameloft's Auckland studio just four weeks after accepting the position.
He later alleged to have resigned due to unfair working conditions, daily 14-hour workloads, and milestone deadlines designed to push the studio's workers.
This was investigated by New Zealand's Labour Department.
Now, website Develop is reporting that the investigation has been closed, and that Gameloft has been cleared of all allegations due to "no substantial evidence".
No action will be taken against the French publisher, in other words.
Gameloft has declined to comment on the situation.
