Rock-hard retro-platformer Meganoid for iOS and Android now contains a mammoth 300 levels, after what developer OrangePixel assures us is the game’s final update.

The developer of this notoriously tough side-scroller has been gradually adding levels to Meganoid over the course of the year, but it promises this will be the last batch.

Alongside some new stages, this latest refresh includes bug fixes, a new menu interface, and a scanline option for that authentic old skool feel.

Finally, for those who have found their progress impeded by Meganoid’s uncompromising difficulty, there is now a level skip function to bypass the game’s more frustrating moments.

Apple customers can find Meganoid on the App Store for £1.49 / $1.99 [buy]. Android users, meanwhile, can choose between an ad-supported free version (without level skip) [download], or a fully featured ad-free version for £1.71 / $2.67 [download].
