Flight Control (iPhone and iPad)

In Flight Control, you take on the role of an air traffic controller, guiding a variety of aircraft safely onto airport tarmac by drawing their path with your finger. Naturally, this becomes harder as your screen fills with planes and helicopters travelling at different speeds.

At review, the iPhone version of Firemint's seminal line-drawing title earned a prestigious Pocket Gamer Silver Award. In-flight extras and a complimentary bag of peanuts propelled the iPad edition to a Gold Award.

Muffin Knight (Universal)

Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning Muffin Knight sees you take on the role of a small boy and attempt to reclaim a batch of magical muffins that you accidentally scattered across various fantasy lands.

Every delicious cake that you pick up turns you into a unique character, each with its own special ability. This skill can be used to defeat the dragons, turtles, werewolves, and ghosts that you encounter.

Trenches (iPhone)

Strategy title Trenches throws you headlong into a bloody battle between the Brits and the Germans during World War I. If shooting your enemies in the face doesn't whet your appetite, you can earn several shiny Game Center accolades to show off to your buddies back at HQ.

Former Pocket Gamer iPhone maestro Tracy Erickson presented the title with a Bronze Award for its valiant war effort.
