Mirror's Edge (iPhone and iPad)

Playing as franchise protagonist Faith Connors in Mirror's Edge, you have to clamber over rooftops, overcome enemies, and prevent a "deadly threat" from ruining the perfect society you live in.

At review, we gave the iPhone and iPod touch version of Mirror's Edge a shiny Pocket Gamer Silver Award, and gave the iPad version an even shinier Gold accolade.

Hybrid: Eternal Whisper (iPhone)

Action-RPG Hybrid: Eternal Whisper managed to slash its way to a Pocket Gamer Bronze Award all the way back in 2009, so it's definitely worth checking out.

As you probably expect, this fantasy-adventure game features plenty of weapons to use, a plethora of skills to learn, and "hundreds" of upgradeable items to discover.
