Mirror's Edge for iPhone and iPad available for free, Dead Space for iPad drops to £2.99/$4.99 in EA's Daily Deals promotion

EA Mobile is celebrating Christmas by offering free games, discounted titles, and cheap in-app purchases every day until January 2nd.

Today, you can grab both the iPhone [buy] and iPad [buy] editions of fast-paced platformer Mirror's Edge completely free of charge, and nab Apple's iPad Game of the Year-winning Dead Space [buy] for 50 per cent less than yesterday.

Mirror's Edge earned a prestigious Silver Award at review for its iPhone effort, but managed to go one further and snag a shiny Gold Award when it sprinted onto the iPad back in April 2010.

Survival horror title Dead Space also managed to bag a Silver Award, so it's definitely worth the current £2.99 / $4.99 asking price.
