Microsoft has launched My Xbox Live, a new app for iOS devices that allows Xbox owners to interact with their Live accounts on the go.

Coming less than 24 hours after Microsoft rolled out the new Xbox dashboard, My Xbox Live lets you monitor achievements, play around with your Avatar, and manage your friends list from an iPhone or iPad.

My Xbox Live is not as fully featured as the Xbox Companion app - also released yesterday - but it does bear a striking resemblance to its Windows Phone-based cousin, at least in the visual department.

It's a-Live!

Those hoping for full Xbox integration may be a little disappointed by the iOS app's more limited scope, with My Xbox Live bereft of the remote control features Xbox Companion users are currently enjoying.

Initial feedback seems promising, though, with Apple customers happy to finally have an official mobile portal to Microsoft’s online gaming hub, even if it won’t let them control music and movies remotely.

My Xbox Live can be found for free on the App Store by hitting the button below.
