There may not be any point in flogging a dead horse, but a cash cow is a different matter. Rovio has already found numerous ways to serve up its winning Angry Birds formula, and senior game designer Jaakko Iisalo has revealed to Pocket Gamer at the Social Gaming & Virtual Goods World conference in London that it plans to serve up four more in 2012.

Details are scarce, but Iisalo did reveal that at least one of these will be a “social” game.

There are already versions of Angry Birds on Facebook and Google+ containing certain social elements – for instance, on Google+ you can unlock levels with your friends – but Pocket Gamer understands that Rovio is at Social Gaming & Virtual Goods World for research into a more fully featured standalone social offering.
