It's going to be a bumpy ride

Gold Award-winning iOS endless-flyer Jetpack Joyride updated with new mission system, power-up, items, and more

If you've played Halfbrick's Jetpack Joyride as much as some of the Pocket Gamer team have, you've probably worked your way through the game's missions at least once.

Thankfully, the Australian developer's latest update introduces an "entirely new mission system", which presents a fresh variety of wacky assignments for you to tackle every time you prestige.

The coins you earn while completing these new missions can be put towards the asking price of the game's fresh selection of items, such as a Super Head Start power-up and some fancy new clothes for foul-mouthed protagonist Barry Steakfries.

Finally, Halfbrick's self-proclaimed "greatest update ever" includes an all-new forest environment, which is merely a tranquil background that you speed past on your way to that unfortunately placed zapper.

You can download the Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning Jetpack Joyride from the App Store as a Universal app for just 69p / 99c.
