Sega has teamed up with PayapaMobile to merge the twin worlds of dungeon-crawling and social gaming in Fallen Realms, the Japanese studio's new free-to-play RPG for Android.

Built using Papaya Mobile’s Social Software Development Kit, Fallen Realms taps into Papaya’s social gaming network to establish an online community of portable role-playing enthusiasts keen to quest, share, and strategise together.

Besides the obvious multiplayer possibilities, Papaya’s Android-based network - 38 million users and growing - gives gamers the chance to socialise outside the confines of the game world.

Through Papaya's "Circles" community, for instance, you can customise your avatar, share pictures, and interact with other members.

The family that slays together stays together

“PapayaMobile offers us a way to complement the fun playing experience found in Fallen Realms with social features to help us build a highly-engaged community of players,” Haruki Satomi, senior VP of digital business at Sega of America, said.

Featuring the usual RPG assortment of swords, spells, goblins, and greenery, Fallen Realms wears its traditional fantasy heart on its sleeve. You can, therefore, indulge in a spot of touchscreen turn-based combat, Orb collection, and troll slaying - all before breakfast.

So, if you enjoy a little company while rummaging through the pockets of your vanquished foes, grab Fallen Realms from the Android Market today.
