Silver Award-winning iPhone RPG Squids gets iPad support and more in 'massive' update

Developer The Game Bakers has treated its Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning iPhone title Squids to a "massive" update, which - among other things - optimises the RPG for Apple's iPad.

Besides granting you the power to download the app once and then play it on any of your iOS devices, the free upgrade gives you the ability to play the recently released Halloween map in old skool 3D.

Yep, but you'll need a pair of those cool-looking anaglyph red / blue glasses to view the 3D effect. This isn't the 3DS, after all.

The update's less-exciting additions include several new localisations, the option of listening to your own beats as you play, a screen rotation capability, and "various" bug fixes and interface tweaks.

We reviewed Squids back in October and noted: "Like a bowl of deep-fried calamari with sliced lemon and mayonaise, every bite is a delight".
