Ravenous Games has used the Touch Arcade forums to reveal several details (and screenshots) of its upcoming sequel League of Evil 2.

The first thing you'll notice about this follow-up (it's hard not to) is that the developer has ditched the franchise's lovable pixel-art graphics in favour of colourful hand-drawn animations by Bulletproof Outlaws.

Despite the graphical change of direction, Ravenous has said that its new platformer will feature the same "tight controls, short bite sized levels, and fast action gameplay" found in the original Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning League of Evil.

Top secrets

As you can probably imagine, the first game's host of hazards and enemies are also back to hinder your top-secret missions, but there are an additional six foes to slow you down. There will be 100 levels and five environments to tackle at the game's launch.

Unfortunately, Ravenous Games is yet to announce when League of Evil 2 will hit the App Store. We don't have a price, either.

As always, we'll keep you updated with any new info.
