The Android Market (and Apple's App Store) doesn't have a great track record when it comes to the quality of some of its content. A quick browse will reveal many clones, copies, homages, and fart apps.

Take a closer look, however, and you'll also find another type of shady application: those that bribe you.

Assaulter, for example, is a freemium title that rewards you with in-game cash for leaving a good review on the Android Market. Stump up a five-star rating and you'll nab yourself around $5,000 to spend on whatever you please.

A look at Assaulter's Android Market reviews show that this practice is - unfortunately - working. There are many five-star ratings that include messages such as "5 stars gives me cash but game is boring".

Another user admits: "So far so good and they give you free loot for five star rating."

Do you know of any other Android Market or App Store apps that promise to reward you with in-game items for favourable reviews?
