It's now possible to play id Software's 1999 shooter Quake III Arena on your shiny Xperia Play handheld, using Zeus Arena - an Android Market port of the ioquake3 engine.

Naturally, the download doesn't come with Quake III Arena (that'd be illegal), but it does allow you to play the famous shooter, its expansions, and many of the game's mods.

What do you do if you don't own a legal copy of the game?

Well, tell Zeus Arena to download Open Arena, which is completely free version of the popular FPS.
