Sublime physics puzzler World of Goo out on Android next Monday

2D Boy has posted on its blog that the Android version of its superb physics puzzler World of Goo will be arriving on the Android Market next monday.

World of Goo, for those un-touched by its charms, is a Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning puzzler that involves constructing fragile towers with little blobs with faces called goo balls.

Originally released on the PC, the title is widely regarded as one of the best in its class thanks to some excellent physics, surreal and clever level design, and a strange over-arching plot about the World of Goo corporation’s efforts to harvest the goo balls for consumer products.

The Android version will be available for $4.99 on release, with both tablets and phones running Android 2.2 and up able to take part in the corporation’s efforts.
