Super-hard iOS and Android platformer Stardash to get new levels

Retro platformer Stardash is to get a new world and soundtrack in an upcoming update for both Android and iOS versions.

The free update will include nine new levels plus an extra ‘temple’ level to unlock, developer OrangePixel announced on its website. The update will hit the Android version some time next week, while iOS devices will get the new levels as soon as Apple gives its nod of approval.

Stardash is a monochrome platformer inspired by Game Boy games of the '90s, originally containing 40 levels and four unlockable temple levels. Like many other of the developer’s games it's noted for its super-challenging nature and chiptune soundtrack. It was well received by reviewers, the Xperia Play version earning a Pocket Gamer Silver Award.

It’s available on the Android Market for £1.39 [buy] and on the App Store for £1.49 [buy].
