Konami confirms Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D for 3DS will launch in Japan on March 8th, 2012

After a delay which saw the 3DS game Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D miss its original 2011 release date, Konami has now confirmed that the stealth-'em-up will debut in Japan on March 8th, 2012.

This 3DS remake of the PS2 original, which is considered by many to be the finest entry in the Metal Gear series, sees you infiltrating a Soviet jungle at the height of the Cold War.

Being a Metal Gear game, of course, Snake Eater 3D will feature plenty of tactics, espionage, action, lengthy cutscenes, and dialogue.

Hopefully, Konami can put this extra development time to good use by fixing the jarring cutscene lag we encountered during our last hands-on with the game.

We've reached out to the relevant people for any news regarding release dates for other regions, and will update you as soon as we hear anything.
