Zombie Gunship, the Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning iOS game in which you oversee the aerial bombardment of a zombie horde, has been updated with a whole new scenario and AirPlay support.

Zombie Gunship see you playing as a gunner in an AC-130 aircraft, targeting zombies through the aircraft’s monochromatic viewfinder. The aim is to bombard the undead menace so that the human survivors can get to safety.

This update introduces a new scenario to test your slaying abilities as you defend ‘Bakerfield – Power Station in Distress’ from the marauding undead.

Ground structures provide cover for the shambling masses, so you’ll have to time your shots carefully. Or you could sit back and watch the speeding train periodically plough through the zombie ranks.

AirPlay support means that those with Apple TV and an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 can now stream Zombie Gunship to their HDTV, displaying gameplay on your television while you control the action from your iOS device.

In this configuration, your iPad or iPhone 4S can function as a tactical radar and weapon-switching screen, giving you the edge on the high score leaderboards.

The update is available now, so those with the app installed can grab it at their convenience. For those who haven’t yet sampled Zombie Gunship’s delights, you can pick it up from the App Store as a Universal app for 69p/99c.
