In a recent interview with sister site PocketGamer.biz, Mode 7's Paul Taylor talked about the upcoming iPad version of PC turn-based strategy title Frozen Synapse, and revealed some details of its cross-platform multiplayer.

"There will be no segregation of the community and everyone will be able to play together," said Paul Taylor, Mode 7 joint-MD and co-founder.

In fact, you'll be able to begin a game on your PC or Mac, and continue it on your iPad wherever and whenever you like.

"You'll be able to do a turn on your PC in the morning, take your iPad to work with you, and take a turn on it in the same match in your lunch hour, assuming you have both versions - everything should have continuity."

If you're unfamiliar with Frozen Synapse, it's a top-down strategy title that sees you and an opponent issue orders to a small but lethal fireteam.

Both fireteams then simultaneously carry out your commands, meaning you constantly have to second guess your foe if you wish to come out of each scuffle on top.

Frozen Synapse is expected to slide onto the App Store some time next year, so keep your eye on Pocket Gamer for further details.
