Welcome to this week's first edition of Pocket Gamer's free game roundup - a feature that highlights the top App Store titles that have been made free in the past 24 hours.

As we've said many times before, grab these free games as soon as you can. Drag your feet for too long and you'll probably end up having to pay for them.

Remember: let us and your fellow readers know about any other great free apps in our comments section below.

And go here to find the latest App Store updates, price drops, and more.

Snuggle Truck (iPhone and iPad)

Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning title Snuggle Truck tasks you with speeding to the end of several bumpy stages without losing your cargo, which is made up of a range of soft and cuddly toys.

In a previous life it was called Smuggle Truck, and the cargo was made up of immigrants, but Apple objected to these political overtones.

The recently updated physics-based game features an in-game level editor, meaning you can create your own masterpieces and share them with other players.

ePig Surf (iPhone and iPad)

Your aim in ePig Surf is to steer your little lump of pork (Eddie) around sharks, dolphins, turtles, and more in order to prevent them from knocking you off your board.

If that wasn't bad enough, you'll also have to contend with islands, rocks, and whirlpools.

Crazy John (iPhone)

Crazy John is a twin-stick shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world, which sees you fighting the good fight against waves of troublesome foes.

You can upgrade both your weapons and your stats to boost your chances of survival, utilise power-ups to give you the upper hand, and hop into a vehicle should the need arise.
