Gameloft's Assassin’s Creed Revelations leaps onto Android without much fanfare

Comes directly from the port of Java

Gameloft's Assassin’s Creed Revelations leaps onto Android without much fanfare

It seems as if a week doesn’t go by nowadays without Gameloft sneaking a Java port onto the Android Market.

Last week, it was Driver: San Francisco - left unceremoniously in a basket in front of the Android Market’s front door. This week, the same fate has befallen Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

Well, to be exact, the game appeared on the Market last week: it’s just we didn’t see it.

Brothers in arms

Anyway, as per the Java version, Revelations sees you leaping around as Ezio (and Altair), boffing baddies on the head with hidden blades and rescuing various members of the brotherhood in Turkey.

Again, like with Driver: San Fran, if you’re expecting 3D visuals or fancy stuff like that, you won’t find it here. Nor, indeed, will iPhone owners find the game on the App Store.

We’ll have our review of the Java version up shortly, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, you can purchase Assassin’s Creed: Revelations from the Android Market for £1.99 [download].
