Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit roars onto the Android Market
Having stopped off for a doughnut on Xperia Play
Android owners waiting patiently to see some of EA’s biggest franchises finally leave the Xperia Play-exclusive garage will be pleased to know that the Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit has roared out onto the Android Market.
Hot Pursuit is the mobile version of last year’s console smash, and sees you taking on the role of either cops or ‘racers’, tearing it up down the long and windy roads of the fictional Seacrest County.
Alongside the ‘normal’ events such as races and time trials, there’s a couple of ingenious modes to get the blood pumping, including the titular Hot Pursuit that sees you employing a range of weaponry/backup to prevent/win illegal street races.
So that means you’ll be able to call down Death From Above (well, spike strips) from the police helicopter if you’re driving on the side of the law, while sneaky turbo boosters and other (illegal) tools lurk under the racers’ bonnets.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is out now on the Android Market for £3.99 (download).
