Pocket Gamer has reported on several App Store clones in the past, but few have been as downright cheeky as Cut the Birds - the latest offering from developer SolverLabs.

As you can probably see for yourself in the screenshots, Cut the Birds is a blatant rip-off of both Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds, with sprites closely resembling the latter's cast of miffed avians appearing throughout.

Your aim, according to the game's description (we've passed on playing this one), is to slice and dice your way through waves of "aggressive" birds before they crack your device's screen.

There are even bombs to avoid. Wonder where the developer got that idea from?

We won't provide download links this time around, but you can find Cut the Birds on the App Store for free.

Can you see any similarities between the birdies below?
