New monsters, features, weapon in iOS beast-battler Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting update

An update for Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting, Capcom’s iOS iteration of its mega-selling monster-slaying series, has brought new monsters, weaponry, and features to the game.

There are four new monsters to battle, all of them returning from previous Monster Hunter games. Capcom reckons Diablos, Azure Rathalos, Kirin, and Lunastra will deliver a stiff challenge.

To help you take these monsters down, the update offers you a new weapon – the gunlance. The Monster Hunter series has always offered a diverse range of appreciably different weaponry, so getting used to the gunlance and its ‘autoguard’ system will likely take a bit of practice, but in the right hands it’s a fierce bit of kit.

Meanwhile, in terms of new features, Dynamic Hunting now offers you the chance to save replays of your most spectacular battles. If you clear a quest without continuing, you’ll have the option to record the entire playthrough, with multiple camera angles available during playback.

Finally, if you need yet another way to rub your victory in the faces of friends, family, and colleagues, Dynamic Hunting’s integration with Twitter will allow you to do just that. You can tweet highscores and exchange tactics, tips, and information with your fellow monster hunters around the globe.
