Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 comes to Android as an Xperia Play exclusive

The latest instalment of EA Mobile's golfing franchise, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12, has been released on the Xperia Play’s game launcher.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 lets players create their own golfer and play through a selection of well-known golf courses, or play as pros such as Tiger himself. It also includes the Tiger Challenge mode, composed of 20 casual mini-games, as well as a new boost mechanic that helps you add a little bit extra onto each swing. The iOS version picked up a shiny Pocket Gamer Silver Award when it hit the App Store green back in March, so we expect this one will be shoved into any self-respecting Xperia gamer's golf bag. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2012 can only be nabbed via the Xperia launcher (slide up the screen), and is another one of those slightly misleading EA trial games, so don't be fooled when the price doesn't first appear. It's not clear whether or when the game will come to vanilla Android handsets, but we've asked EA so that you don't have to. (iOS version pictured)
