Levine: BioShock Vita will be a completely new title, not a port

Earlier this year at E3, Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine revealed that the company will be bringing the BioShock series to PlayStation Vita.

However, he didn't say whether it would be a completely new release or a port of one of the original games.

Now Levine has released more details. Talking to Joystiq, he explained that the team is looking to create a brand new BioShock title rather than port an existing one.

"I think for us, the idea we have is a really good expression on a platform like that [Vita]," he said. It's a different goal.

"And it has to sort of have its own voice in the franchise. If it just feels like a quieter voice in the franchise, I don't think that works. For us."
