Japanese developer Level-5, best known for its Professor Layton series, has revealed a brand-new game on the horizon for 3DS that's a little bit different from its past offerings.

This change of tack is called Guild 01, and it's due for release next year. According to Famitsu - and as translated by Andriasang - it's actually four games in one, all of which are made by some big-name Japanese developers.

Kaiho Shojo is from No More Heroes creator Suda 51, and sees you taking control of a robot and blasting demons in the face.

Rental Bukiya de Omasse, meanwhile, puts you in the role of a weapon shop owner (sounding rather a lot like parody PC RPG Recettear), and is from Yoshiyuki Hirai of comedy group America Zarigani.

Flying high

Air Porter is an airport simulation game from Yoot Saito. You're in charge of a bustling terminal, and you have to make sure all the baggage ends up on the right planes.

And finally, Crimson Shroud is a dark fantasy RPG from Matsuno.

Can we expect this collection of games to venture outside of Japan? We sure hope so. It's not completely out of the question, given that a good number of Level-5's titles have landed over here.
