Popular iOS platformer Muffin Knight updated with online multiplayer through Game Center

Angry Mob Games's Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winning platformer Muffin Knight has been updated with a brand new multiplayer experience.

Through Apple's Game Center, you can now challenge other players from around the world to collect magic muffins over fast-paced Versus rounds.

Collecting more tasty buns than your opponent will win you a round, with three successful rounds winning you a match and a place on the global leaderboards.

There's also a handy little feature that allows you to automatically and seamlessly jump between single-player and online matches (and back) when opponents become available. This is, of course, optional.

If you have your eye on Muffin Knight but you're not quite sure whether to splash some cash on it, you'll be pleased to read that there's a new free version for you to check out, which gives you a chance to experience the game's frantic action and cast of wacky characters.

Finally, Angry Mob Games has revealed that another new update is currently "cooking", and will introduce a new level and playable characters upon its arrival in the App Store.
