Cave's fast-paced bullet-hell shooter Espgaluda II will soon be released in glorious high definition exclusively for the iPad 2, complete with a new soundtrack for its newly titled Smartphone mode (formerly iPhone mode, presumably changed because Cave is bringing its shooters to Android).

Espgaluda II sees you dodging waves of incoming bullets over three difficulty levels, in the hope of achieving a highscore and a top leaderboard placement in both OpenFeint and Game Center.

The two social gaming networks also offer a selection of achievements for you to unlock and display on your virtual mantelpiece.

Split-shot

In addition to the full Espgaluda II iPad 2 experience, shooter specialist Cave is set to release standalone HD versions of the titles game modes: Arcade and Smartphone.

Standard definition releases of these standalone titles will also be made available for all third-gen and up iPhone and iPod touch devices.

We still don't have a solid release date, or indeed a price, but you can expect all of the above to hit the App Store in autumn 2011.
