European Nintendo eShop update includes Zelda: Four Swords, Mario Land 2

Nintendo fans have a week of digitally distributed fun ahead of them this week, as the latest update to Nintendo’s eShop includes a couple of absolute classics.

First, for DSi and 3DS owners, there’s The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition to download for free. A multiplayer focused instalment in the venerable adventuring franchise, this update to the GBA original throws in a single-player mode as well as some extra areas to explore.

Those perusing the virtual shelves of the 3DS eShop this week can also download Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins for £3.60/€4. It's a port of the monochrome Game Boy classic, which offered early '90s gamers a sterling slice of portable platforming and introduced the world to series villain Wario for the very first time.

Both games should be available to download this Thursday.
