GTA-esque follow-up Car Jack Streets 2 set for an early 2012 release

Although it was originally slated to speed onto the App Store back in 2010, we're still yet to get our hands on GTA-esque follow-up Car Jack Streets 2.

Why?

Well, Tag Games has revealed on the TA Forums that the delay has been caused by the "technical limitations of platforms in 2009."

According to the developer, "those platforms just could not support our grand ideas."

Luckily, though, the platforms have now caught up, and Car Jack Streets 2 is on course for a release in early 2012.

What's that coming over the hill

The forum post is accompanied by various photos which give several hints about the upcoming game.

For example, a shot of the project's mantras reveals that the game won't have a linear story. You'll instead create and shape your own story through your actions.

The developer is also placing emphasis on the game's social aspects - specifically competing, collaborating, and collecting.
